TITANS SCORE FOUR IN THE 2ND IN 5-1 WIN OVER HAMILTON

BRANTFORD, ONT – The Brantford Titans returned home on Saturday riding a 6 game point streak following an overtime loss in Ayr on Thursday. They welcomed the Hamilton Kilty B’s for the final time this season looking to inch a little bit closer in the standing to their 403 rivals.

First period saw no goals scored however, both clubs found opportunities to get to the net and get traffic in front of each goaltender but they couldn’t solve the masked men. The Kilty B’s would get two power play chances in the first and the Titans would have one. Shots after the first period favoured Brantford 13-9.

In the second, Seth Vreugdenhill would gather the puck just inside his own zone and skate down the left wing side, into the Hamilton zone and bury his first goal in the GOJHL after cutting to the slot making it 1-0 Brantford. Tyler Oletic would collect the lone assist. In the middle of the period, Lucas Muhn would step out of the box, collect the puck in the offensive zone and backhand the puck to Ryan Scriven who scored his 2nd of the season to make it 2-0. L. Muhn and Kim-Lemay would record the assists. Titans would then head to a power play where their scoring leaders would go to work. The Titans maintained possession in the offensive end the entire power play before Tyler Crisostomo snapped home his 30th goal of the season to make it 3-0. Kaleb Frank and Patrick Babin would get the assists. Titans weren’t done there as Avery Alves would leave his net to play the puck but gave it right to Kyle Henneberry who would send it out front to Ryan Scriven and the former Kilty B would put it into the empty net making it 4-0. Shots in the 2nd period were even at 9.

In the third period, the Titans would add one more early in the period as Kaleb Frank would dangle his way to the front of the net beating Alves top shelf to give the Titans a 5-0 lead. Hamilton would score 12:17 into the third on the power play as Jack Seney would beat Vicente on the blocker side making it 5-1. That would be all the scoring as the Titans would cruise to a 4 goal victory.

The Titans are back in action on Monday in Cambridge. Puck drop is 1:30pm.
