PLAYOFF PREVIEW: TITANS VS CENTENNIALS

BRANTFORD, ONT – The 2025 Sutherland Cup playoff matchups are set and the Brantford Titans will go toe to toe in a best of seven series against the Ayr Centennials. The Centennials enter the playoffs as the #2 seed in the Eastern Conference after finishing with a record of 35-13-2-0 while the Titans enter as the #7 seed in Eastern Conference after finishing the regular season 20-22-7-1.

Brantford won the five game season series against Ayr with a record of 3-1-1, outscoring the Centennials 21-18 including a 5-4 overtime win in the Titans final regular season home game this past Saturday thanks to Ethan Szabo’s game winner at 3:33 into the extra frame.

The Brantford Titans were led by Ethan Szabo in points in the regular season as the graduating forward put up 69 points in 45 games with 32 of those points being goals. The Ayr Centennials will look for Brantford native Mitchell Ferras to continue his dominant play from the regular season as he was the Centennials leader in points with 64. His 51 assists during the regular season was the most in the GOJHL.
